2012 Les Hauts de Madon
Where | Cheverny, Loire Valley, France |
Grape | Pinot Noir, Gamay |
Ag | Organic/Biodynamic |
SO2 | None added |

This perennial favorite of mine comes from the silica and clay soils of Les Hauts. The vinification is classic semi-carbonic and the result is gorgeous perfume and a joyous wine. Great acidity, velvet texture.

Grape | Grolleau, Gamay, Pineau d’Aunis |

As always, a beautiful little wine, and in the difficult vintage of 2012, it still succeeds. Tart yet velvet with a touch of licorice. Load up on this by the case to get your everyday wine on and never be bored.
