Field Notes: December 13, 2022
Getting this issue together reminds me of what happened when my college graduation crept up on me. I had no real major, but a hodgepodge of credits. I had to scramble to figure out what kind of degree I could make out of the chaos. In the end, I came up with the perfect solution for me, a mélange of music, literature, and dance. And in the end, when I re-read Deirdre Heekin’s essay about identity and process I realized that was the theme for the current PDF. I realized her words reflected my thoughts about the recent visit to Breganze, the continuing evolution of Burgundy, and a reevaluation of relationship with that venerable region. I hope it all makes sense to you too!
