Field Notes: March 24, 2023
I hope you all have learned to scrape and bow, because a few weeks ago I was knighted at the French Consulate. I shared the honor with my friend and colleague, Melissa Clark because, well, we could.
It was a fine hour and a half, with champagne that I procured from Terrestrial Wine Co. For those in the wine club, you might be familiar with Herve Rafflin—his 100% Meunier was a favorite a last year. For the event, we had the Natur L’ which was a delicious way to toast. Comte cheese showed up to help celebrate—I feel like they’re an official sponsor, which suits me just perfectly.
