Hey! Did you catch Mike Colameco’s Real Food on Channel 13? In April we filmed at the now gone Hemlock (I miss Diego’s restaurant so much). We dissected the selections that I plunked on the list and how they worked with chef/owner Diego Moya’s food. Tremendous fun. At some point the episode will resurface. (As will, hopefully, Diego in front of a NYC stove.) I’ll keep you posted about both.Remember, of course, that there are wine tastings coming up. Hudson area folk? I’ll be at Rivertown Lodge on November 2nd from 5pm to 7pm with a two-hour tasting and introduction to natural wine, its past, present and future. $50 + tax. Email events@rivertownlodge.com for reservations. November 3rd it’s the Peripheral Natural Wine Festival! Then it is the return of Isabelle Legeron’s RAW Wine. - November 1st in Montreal
- November 4th & 5th in New York
- November 11 & 12th in Los Angeles
RAW will sell out, so you definitely need to book your tickets. I’ll be posting suggestions on how to manage and who to taste with in a few weeks. Finally, heads up! Pascaline and I will be hosting a few select friends from across the pond at Racines on Sunday November 4th from 7pm on. There will be a special prix fixe from Paul Liebrandt, fun things to eat if you don’t want a proper meal, wine flights, pairings and many subscribers of The Feiring Line to raise a glass with. I’ll be sending out a more specific email soon. Til then, Alice |
